Our Learning Environment

Irongate School operates five collaborative teaching teams, made up of Kaiako and Learning Coaches.  We believe it takes a village to raise a child.  Our learning environments are rich in culture, language and Identity. This is a space for students to lead their own learning and become strong independent learners Mana Motuhake.  Learners learn from actively engaging within their learning environment choosing where they learn, how they learn, and with who they learn with.  This whānau like environment enables our learners to build their ability to navigate through stimulating and challenging conversations.

Our learning spaces enable tamariki to work in a collaborative learning environment with tamariki, kaiako and learning coaches.
